SMS / Text Messaging Policy & Terms
Effective date: July 8, 2026 · This page also serves as the SMS Terms of Service for the program described below.
1. Program description
B&M Law Group PLLC ("B&M Law Group," "we," "us") is a Florida law firm practicing real estate, closing/escrow, estate planning, and business law. Our SMS program, B&M Law Group Client & Lead Text Updates, sends conversational and informational text messages to individuals who have contacted the firm or engaged our services. Message content includes:
- Replies to inquiries you submit through our website contact form or by phone
- Appointment scheduling, confirmations, and reminders
- Requests for documents or information needed for your matter
- Status updates about your real estate closing, estate plan, or other legal matter
- Notices that an invoice is ready, pointing to www.bmlawgroup.net/pay
We do not send promotional or marketing text blasts through this program.
2. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on the activity in your inquiry or matter. During an active real estate closing the back-and-forth may be more frequent for a short period, and quiet during others.
3. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile phone service plan.
4. How you opt in (consent)
We only text individuals who have provided their phone number and agreed to be contacted. Consent is collected in one of these ways:
- Website form: You submit our contact form at www.bmlawgroup.net/contact, giving your mobile number and ticking the box labeled “Text me about my matter (optional).” The box is unchecked by default, and the disclosure printed beside it names the program, states that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, that you may reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel, and that consent is not a condition of representation or of purchasing any service. It links to this policy and to our privacy policy. Leaving the box unticked does not stop you from submitting the form or from becoming a client — we simply will not text you.
- Text-initiated: You send a text message to our business number first.
- Written intake: You provide your mobile number and consent to text contact on an intake or engagement form.
-
Verbal consent (phone or in person): Our staff follow a script that discloses
the program before enrolling you:
Verbal consent script "As part of our service, we can send you text message updates about your inquiry or matter — for example appointment reminders, document requests, and closing status updates. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. You can get help at any time by replying HELP, or opt out completely by replying STOP. Our messaging terms are at www.bmlawgroup.net/sms-policy and our privacy policy is at www.bmlawgroup.net/privacy. Would you like to receive these messages? Please reply yes or no."
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of retaining or purchasing any service from B&M Law Group.
5. Confirmation of enrollment
When you are enrolled, you receive a one-time confirmation message:
6. Sample messages
7. Getting help (HELP)
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at [email protected].
8. Opting out (STOP)
Reply STOP to any message to opt out completely. You will receive a single final message confirming your opt-out, and no further texts will be sent. Opting out does not affect your legal matter; we will continue to reach you by phone and email. You can re-subscribe at any time by replying START or by opting in again through any of the methods in Section 4.
9. Privacy
Our privacy policy is available at www.bmlawgroup.net/privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
